Sierra Business Council/Small Business Development Center/SBA: TOC has served as a long-time business advisor to multiple start-ups and small businesses in the Sierra region to help drive consumer interest via strategic marketing, website development, content writing/editing, press relations and more. Similarly, she contributed at Tahoe Chamber & City of South Lake Tahoe to the small business development program on the Tahoe Tactical coaching team, grant-funded by City of South Lake Tahoe.


Valhalla Tahoe (Tahoe Tallac Association) is a nonprofit that benefitted from TOC expertise who wrote and obtained a National Public Radio grant, created press materials, pitches, entertainment columns, articles, new photography and social media management to generate 4:1 ROI press coverage.

SR89 Trail Feasibility Study https://www.westshoretahoetrail.com/ TOC is assisting the trail feasibility study team with the public information and outreach components. The trail feasibility study is being conducted through 2022 to examine the constructibility of the segment from Cascade to Meeks trail, the West Shore Tahoe Trail. The outreach team is assisting the public input process via webinars, survey analysis and outreach events. The public is encouraged to be part of the effort and there are opportunities to provide input throughout the study process. After the recent completion of the SR89 Corridor Management Plan, the creation of a multi-use trail along the lake’s southwest shoreline was identified as a high priority need.

Barton Hospital’s Foundation Cause Committee recently included TOC as an advisor to the communications strategy, planning and outreach execution of the annual Cause fundraising campaign to bring significant funding in for technology and equipment to benefit the local community.

CA State Parks, Upper Truckee River Restoration & Golf Course Reconfiguration Project https://restoreuppertruckee.net/ TOC continues to serve the river restoration project with her communications expertise and passion to improve the environment and the local economy. Responsibilities include the planning and execution of the public information and community outreach components for this critical project. TOC has organized multiple site tours, press relations, and outreach campaigns to ensure information accuracy, understanding and participation by the local community. The project is currently gearing up for another round of the EIR/EIS public and regulatory review process.


Tahoe Resource Conservation District, Stormwater Funding Partnership involved a highly collaborative effort to successfully bring forward a strong coalition of multi-jurisdictional community leaders and decision makers to problem solve stormwater challenges. TOC assisted the effort with strategic planning, government relations, community partnerships, presentations and meeting facilitation to navigate across several counties, agencies and political districts.

Nonprofit Tahoe Magic https://tahoemagic.org/ TOC is committed to the health of her community and by contributing communications expertise and website content development, she aims to propel the nonprofit Tahoe Magic’s fundraising ability. On a year-round basis, Tahoe Magic focuses on helping families in crisis with one-time funding. By working with various referring agencies, Tahoe Magic is a 501c3 non-profit organization formed in 1994 to help low-income families with children in the South Lake Tahoe area.


Travel Nevada attracted new interest to its Reno-Tahoe Territory destination https://renotahoe.com/ with TOC at the helm to plan and launch a successful international outreach campaign with market research, in-depth writing/editing of press stories and web content with visual assets to infuse consumer interest from the target markets, international offices and associated press. TOC also assisted the Pony Express Territory & Nevada Northern Railway https://loneliestroad.us/ as creative writer/editor of SEO press materials, delivery of effective pitches to attract earned media exposure to attract visitors to this Territory. Results included numerous articles, social channel growth and a consistent multi-year 3+ to 1 ROI.


Tahoe City Lodge Community Revitalization Project (Kila Tahoe LLC) earned unanimous approval from TRPA and Placer County. The public engagement process included the development and execution of strategic and tactical communications such as a project website, informational brochures, public participation events, presentations, database management, press and governmental relations. TOC helped to navigate the project through the court of public opinion via a successful engagement campaign to achieve decision maker approval.


Edgewood Tahoe Lodge & Water Quality Improvement Project, Edgewood Companies: TOC helped to develop and launch the successful strategic communications platform for the environmental redevelopment project, which earned unanimous approval from TRPA, City of South Lake Tahoe and two Counties. TOC generated multiple public information and community outreach components to include neighbor relations for a community park, yellow cress planting event and stakeholder engagement.


Tahoe Rim Trail Association and TOC partnered to bring awareness and conviction to the nonprofit via conducting competitor and consumer research audits, developing a brand identity and strategic marketing plan, editing of communications materials and board presentations, and providing communications execution templates.

Tahoe XC: The nonprofit mission is to promote healthy, outdoor-oriented lifestyles through education and self-powered recreation. TOC created and delivered a strategic tactical marketing plan to include a website audit for this important mission.
